Explore Cannon Beach’s Oil & Vinegar shop to add Some Fun & healthy flavors to your next meal.

Our last RV trip of the Summer took us to Cannon Beach in Oregon, a place that’s been on our bucket list since we moved to the PNW nearly 7 years ago. We spent a couple of days checking out the tide pools, relaxing by the campfire, and watching the sun set over the ocean.

A family of elk right on the beach near Haystack rock in Cannon Beach, Oregon.

And of course, we did some shopping to check out Cannon Beach’s downtown area, which was so cute and fun to explore and truly has something for everyone. From candy shops to wine bars, souvenirs to books, coffee shops and restaurants, there was so much to see.

But by far my favorite place we stumbled across was The Olive Oil and Vinegar Bar.

It’s located right next door to a lovely little coffee shop with delicious chai tea that also offers free biscuits for your pup (all of Cannon Beach was super dog friendly) so we decided to peruse while we enjoyed our drinks, and I’m so glad that we did!

This place is exactly what it sounds like. A shop full of all kind of olive oil and vinegars to explore, and in more flavors than you could have ever imagined exist! And of course, they offer plenty of samples so you can taste test everything before you buy.

The staff here truly takes pride in their work and are excited to show you around. They offered plenty of suggestions for fun flavor combinations like Coconut White balsamic mixed with Peruvian Lime olive oil, and Habanero infused olive oil mixed with their Blackberry balsamic (both incredible!). We had so much fun taste testing so many new flavors we would never have dreamed of, it was hard to pick a favorite to take home.

Olive oil is one of the healthiest oils we can add into our diets. It’s minimally processed by simply crushing and milling the olives, unlike other highly inflammatory oils like vegetable, canola, and seed oils which contain harmful trans fats and are often heated and extracted with chemicals during processing.

Olive oil contains powerful anti-inflammatory properties and may even benefit gut health. It’s high in monounsaturated fats (one of those “good” fats) and can even benefit heart health.

Adding new flavors to our proteins and veggies can be a great way to keep things interesting and tasty when we may find ourselves getting a little bored with the same old meals. Spices and seasonings are a great way to mix things up, and so are flavor infused oils just like these. Try replacing the basic balsamic vinegar in your salad dressing with a peach or apricot infused one to mix things up! Or cook your chicken breast in a basil & lemongrass infused olive oil to add a little extra flavor to stir fry night.

After plenty of taste-testing, we picked our favorites and brought these 4 bottles home.

The next time you’re exploring the Oregon coast and find yourself in Cannon Beach, be sure to make a stop at the Oil and Vinegar Bar. Or, check out their website and order some of their goodies online, delivered straight to you.

Happy exploring!!
